I know first hand they have massive ambitions for Man United if they are to get it.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;And I haven&#8217;t seen any venture they&#8217;ve turned their hands to and not been successful.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I think it&#8217;s just important that Man United fans give them time.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>In a wide-ranging interview, Schmeichel also discussed how he never wanted to leave Leicester in the summer of 2022, while he also gave further insight into his difficult spell with Nice.<\/p>\n<p>He added: &#8216;It started (to go wrong) on day 1 to be honest. It was made very clear to me on my first day that I wasn&#8217;t the future of the club.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I was told that by certain people within the club I wasn&#8217;t the future having just signed a three-year contract.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/21\/10\/79208439-12889325-image-a-4_1703155161280.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Despite enduring a tricky spell at Nice, he insisted Ratcliffe was &#8216;incredible and so supportive&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/21\/10\/79208437-12889325-image-a-5_1703155242623.jpg\" height=\"422\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The Dane racked up 479 appearances over 10 years at Leicester and won the Premier League<\/p>\n<h3>IT&#8217;S ALL KICKING OFF!\u00a0<\/h3>\n<p><span>It&#8217;s All Kicking Off\u00a0is an exciting new podcast from Mail Sport that promises a different take on Premier League football, with a show every Monday and Thursday this season.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>It is available on MailOnline, Mail+, YouTube , Apple Music and Spotify<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Your browser does not support iframes.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;It kind of stopped me in my tracks in terms of settling down, buying a home and all of this that we were going to do and then to get that kind of message early doors was surprising and not something I&#8217;ve tried before.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Schmeichel has since moved onto Anderlecht in Belgium, but he will always be remembered for his 10-year stint at Leicester.<\/p>\n<p>The Dane racked up 479 appearances for the Foxes and was a crucial part of the Claudio Ranieri&#8217;s team as they won the Premier League against all odds in 2015-16.<\/p>\n<p>Schmeichel &#8211;
