Keep em coming!

Bob, that is fantastic that Rich has this success doing this. I am sure this is far from normal when people switch over to a mainly Paleo lifestyle. Of course, we are human, and we deviate every so often but we know what is the best way and we don't deviate hard.

This is a great blog, I am going to reproduce this on my blog today to share this.

Bob,

I think without a doubt, that your "Why I CrossFit - Part Two" sums up as well as I have ever heard, or thought for myself, what CrossFit truly is and means to me. Reading this today comes after about two weeks of poor sleep, poor eating, lack of work outs (maybe three total?) and lots of mind-tiring work trying to find a job. For example, I was completely worn out after just a 1/2 "Cindy" today.

Reading this put it all back in perspective. Thank you for sharing!

YES!! WE must set the example! I am 100% zone and IF.
At 57, I am at about 6-8% body fat. (Testing at the local hospital 3 weeks ago determined I was 4.4% but I don't agree.
Our society is struggling and getting fatter and fatter and unhealthier with each year. NO ONE in gov't is setting the example nor teaching the public how to eat. As CrossFit trainer's/affiliates it is our responsibility.

The zone is structured. We convince our clients to convince themselves to get on the zone. If they do, the combination of CrossFit and the zone is going to change their life.

Your clients will ask you, "What if you go to a party and they have sugar treats....what do YOU do?" I tell them the truth..I DON'T EAT them! I can't! I am addicted to sugar and crap just like everyone else! If I give in, I will want more and more. So, I don't touch it.

I must set that example. Someone has to!

Bob,
Great post. I was in your area (China Lake) a few weeks ago and missed the chance to come bang out a few WODs with you guys...clearly my loss. With that mentatlity and your coaching philosophy we could have had a few beautiful crushers togthers. I'm a recovering (wicked double knee injury on a HALO jump) fire breather and as I head down the road to recovery (from injury not from fire breathing...who'd want to recover from that?) I hunger for posts like this. I Crossfit for life, literally my fitness and ability to intensly execute functional movements is life and death, and I Crosssfit so you will too. Everybody is a fire breather...you just have to prove it every WOD.
